In 1982, Mahesh Advani left his hometown in Ajmer, India and came to Dubai. He started working at a clerical level with a textile trading company and rose to become the Sales Manager. In 1988, having mastered the nuts and bolts of the textile trade in Dubai, he started Blossom Trading. Blossom Trading is now a large and diversified conglomerate with interests in textiles, e-commerce, food and healthcare.
The textile arm of Blossom Trading is currently the market leader in the GCC market for the import and distribution of kandora fabric. The fabric is mainly imported from Far East Asia and is sold in the UAE. It is also re-exported to other countries in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The food arm of Blossom Trading began in 2001, with the launch of an innovative Indian restaurant, My Govinda’s. The restaurant serves satvic Indian vegetarian food that is healthy andwholesome. The success of MyGovinda’s rests on a foundation of exceptional food quality and outstanding customer service. The food business also includes an innovative vegan restaurant, soul sante´ and a natural, preservative-free ice creams marketed under the Trufrut brand.
